Ready or Not, Katrina Victims Lose Temporary Housing How do YOU define "temporary"? It's been four years, but you wouldn't know that from reading this article. Naturally, the NYT doesn't mention how long these people have lived at my expense, refusing to stand on their own. Next time, don't build your home in a swamp. Let the alligators have it back. Government should never reimburse anyone who builds in a flood or hurricane zone. If you want to live there, buy private insurance. If you can't get it, because you're deemed to be too high risk, don't come cryin' to me! |
